We believe that education—particularly,
Christian Education—is a lifelong activity. Our Christian
Education classes operate from the Sunday after Labor Day until
Children’s Day, the second Sunday in June. Classes are
conducted from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
We
offer classes for children, youth, and adults each Sunday, September through early June. These
classes are all led by trustworthy and dedicated teachers with many
years experience. We believe the teacher in each classroom is the most
vital part of the instruction process. In the teaching enterprise we
have available good audio-visual aids, like the Nest video series. We also adapt
aspects of the Godly Play method that encourages
more active participation by the student in the learning process.
Infant care is provided from the opening of Sunday
School at 9:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the worship service.
The
three adult classes available each week through the Christian Education
year include a men’s group, a women’s group, and a
mixed gender class.
A Bible Study group meets on Monday mornings from September to mid June,
10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. This group is usually taught by the Pastor.
A reading group meets bi-monthly September - May.
Books, with a particular focus upon how writers and characters in
literature illuminate the Christian life, are assigned for discussion
at each meeting.
